How to Use the Refill Block

This block is designed to reload or refill your BaltiSpore grow kit. If you started here without a kit first, that’s okay. Let’s get growing!
1. Find a Spot: Place the block in your home away from direct sunlight or drafts of air. Ideal locations are kitchen counters or shaded rooms.
2. Identify the Best Side: Look for a fully colonized myceliated white layer (a thick, white, fluffy layer). Have this side face the ceiling. This is the side to cut.
3. Cut and Mist: Keeping the bag wrapped tightly around the block, cut an "X" at least 3” x 3” on the selected side. Mist with water (tap is fine) until the surface is visibly damp but not soaking.
4. Daily Care: Mist 2-3 times a day depending on humidity. If using a mini spray bottle from our Grow Kit, use the entire contents each day.

6. Harvesting Your Mushrooms: Your mushrooms should be ready to harvest in 1-3 weeks.
- Lion’s Mane: Harvest when the mushroom has a toothy or hairy appearance.
- Oysters Varieties: Harvest Oysters (Blue, Pink, Golden, Grey) when the caps just start to turn up.
- Chestnut: Harvest Chestnuts when the caps are fully open, but before they start to darken.
- General Tip: Always harvest your mushrooms promptly to ensure the best quality and flavor. If you need assistance or have questions, feel free to reach out to us!
